Welcome!
This webpage is similar to a blog, although perhaps not so diary-like. I write about things that are of more permanent nature. Also, the blog does not only grow by me adding posts. I do add new content, but I also update all the texts here continuously rather than leaving them as they stand. Finally, I prefer to make the HTML code myself rather than using available blog sites.
Comments are welcome! A good philosopher is always prepared to change opinion if new facts of rational counterarguments are presented, so please contact me (click "Discussion" above) even if you disagree with me! My idea is to continuously update and refine the texts that I publish here. Nothing is written in stone on this blog and the content may be changed due to your wise comments!
The Log of the Blog:
2010-02-06: Work, work work... I'm glad there and other people sharing my opinions that continue the humanism and feminism debates in Sweden because I have no time with such things now. Especially the debate on forced gender quotes continues in Sweden. I have updated some text a little bit with respect to this. (Feminism)
2009-12-27: It has been a tough autumn for me, but I now publish my thoughts on forced gender quotes as a means to achieve politically correct numbers. (Feminism)
2009-09-30: The magazine for members of the Swedish Humanists published a version of my text about the relation between death and humanism philosophy. (Media)
2009-09-12: I have written a text that sort of discusses my own blog. It is also about criticism in general. How and why should we criticise things? (Other)
2009-08-24: After a long time of too much to take care of in my personal life, I return with a text about how one looks upon death as a humanist. (Humanism)
2009-07-19: Svenska Dagbladet published a short response I wrote to a debate article on Swedish feministic politics and the situation in academia. (Media)
2009-07-14: My name appears as a support to a debate article criticizing Swedish feministic politics. (Media)
2009-07-10: I have summarized my examples of how Swedish feministic political actions create problems rather than solving any. (Feminism) Also, all other texts about feminism are updated!
2009-06-28: I think I managed to get reasonably reliable visitor counters on each of the pages! They are set to count unique visitors only (cookie based, elapsed time irrelevant).
2009-06-24: It is now possible to leave comments that are published directly in a discussion forum! See the top menu.
2009-06-21: I included a Java-based timestamp on all posts, so the top of each page shows when that text was last modified.
2009-06-16: I now have my own domain! The new address to this blog is and will always be: http://www.adahlin.com/philosophy/
2009-06-04: I have written a short text about gender liberation and elimination. (Feminism)
2009-05-19: I published an article on Newsmill about feministic imperialism. (Media)
2009-05-11: Things are happening in the story about Holistic's colloidal gold! (Humanism)
2009-05-09: I have summarized my opinions on statistical differences between men and women and how they should be interpreted. (Feminism)
2009-04-21: Added the story about me and the Swedish company Holistic, who sell colloidal gold. (Humanism)
2009-04-14: I did it! I got tired of my stupid WYSIWYG-based program so the entire webpage is now made with "pure" HTML code in notepad. Computer geek points for me!
2009-04-08: Modified and fine tuned the texts about prejudice against science and atheism. (Humanism)
2009-04-06: This blog started! Added a text in Swedish called "Genussekten" about similarities between swedish gender research and religion. (Feminism)
